I can't say more than what's already been said about this -- but if you want to hear a band imitate Summoning but with its own energy and ferocity, you cannot go wrong here. Awesome work and I hope to hear more! baboonsandmoons

Masterful use of acoustic passages and synth stuff. This is definitely my favorite black metal-dungeon synth kinda album I've found recently. Each track flows into the next so well, I cannot recommend it enough. Perri

Devoured By The Oak easily just became one of my favorite Epic/Atmospheric Black Metal albums. The clean vocals and screams are done with such emotions, and the riffs ooze nostalgia and melancholy. I am also a big fan of the female singer featured on a few of the songs. This album cannot be missed if you like anything majestic and atmospheric in the realm of Black Metal. Wound of Briccius
Joseph Hawker subverts the musical and sociopolitical status quo with a black metal triptych that's as incendiary as it is impressionistic. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2022

Some of the best cosmic black metal I've heard. Mare Cognitum continues to prove themselves to be masters of crafting a vast, celstial soundscape, and the Lovecraft-esque atmosphere present throughout Aureole's half definitely made me want to check out the rest of their discography. honeycombguy
